Their music is a masterclass in dynamic fusion. Expect the undeniable power of hard rock and heavy metal, marked by stomping rhythms, driving riffs, and a raw, untamable energy. Interwoven through this sonic landscape are rich veins of jazzy grooves, psychedelic progressive textures and time signature changes.  Hints of classical training emerge with stacked arpeggios and scales that elevates their sound beyond typical genre confines. Rolling Blackout is a longtime favorite of SF locals.   The musicians have varied but overlapping roots, and have merged into a singular entity. Rolling Blackout has built an eclectic catalog of rock, a unique brand of jazz metal fusion, and even a full length rock opera.  Trained on years of covering 60s & 70s rock and 80's metal, versatility abounds.  Rolling Blackout draws a solid base audience of fans, and tailors sets to events making them a great fit for just about anywhere. Lead Guitarist, Joshua Landman brings more than just the axe.  With electrifying leads and rockin’ stage moves, Josh brings versatility, meticulous tone craft and high energy to the stage.  He might throw soulful lyrics, good time party vibes, or fantasy tales of the outer limits out to the world but you can be sure the lightning bolts will fly when his guitar brings the heat. When his search for the lost chord is done, the Throne of Blood rock opera will finally be released!

Multi instrumentalist and juke box extraordinaire, Bill Chapman is the bottom line on bass.  Effortlessly holding tight grooves, sitting in the pocket or galloping like thunder, Bill keeps Rolling Blackout fans booming and banging, shaking it down, and tipping their bartenders. Whether he’s running lead vocals or pitching perfect backup, Bill keeps the bass fire burning!

Time machine Erick Goldman holds the clock in the palm of his hand.  Whether keeping the back beat or rolling mind blowing fills, he drives the band’s engine and keeps it running tight.   He can drop the boys into ethereal space or put the pedal to the metal!  With tasty, shimmering  cymbals, and bomber toms, Erick brings rock star drumming to every show . 

Guitar chugmaster John Palumbo brings a war hammer to studio & stage adding meat to the bone.  Deep crunchy rhythms, creative melodic harmonies and a balance of twinning and dueling guitar leads takes the band to new heights.  His Aussie Thrash roots push Rolling Blackout into rock and roll overdrive! John brings complex harmonic runs, dueling leads, melodic overlays and forceful rhythm to the stage with a stage show to rival the 80’s greats.
